Carly, a Mexican immigrant with a fiercely independent nature, is driven to the point of exhaustion by her racist boss, and impulsively quits her day job as a barista. Feeling depressed, Carly begrudgingly accepts a college friend's invitation to join the Plant Moms of New York- a parenting club started by a famous influencer for folks raising house plants in the concrete jungle. When the group's first live stream goes viral they attempt to capitalize on their newfound social media stardom. This unlikely group of digital millennials strive to dictate their identities before others do it for them.
